“Cobalt, a color of ingenuity and enlightenment, represents the unconventional artist within me ...Its electrifying impact is visible in the multilayered complex pieces which add a contemporary twist to my work.”
“Are we to paint what’s on the face, what’s inside the face, or what’s behind it”
- Pablo Picasso
Portraits are truly a quest to accomplish. In artistic language the innumerable plane changes on the head add dimension to the form which makes it interesting to study and interpret. In life I feel there is so much more hidden beneath these planes. A smile might hide a tear and a tear might hide envy. As an artist I see beauty in all aspects of life young and old, dark and fair, good or bad. It really amazes me to visualize this saga of life as each portrait exhibits a character of its own, a story to narrate. My portraits are some such stories that capture moments, feelings and emotions.
